NEET PG 2024 candidates irked over website crash, login issues, ‘random’ test city allotment

Document

Candidates for the National Eligibility Entrance Test - Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2024 are concerned about the NBEMS website's lag time and login problems when choosing the exam city. Today, July 19, was the scheduled start date for the National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) to pick the cities for the NEET PG 2024 test. However, because to a Microsoft outage, the facility has not yet begun, and students have reported that the login page is broken.

A number of NEET PG candidates uploaded screenshots of the NBEMS homepage and login screen, expressing frustration at not being able to choose their exam centers and log in. The website stated: "The TCS application for NEET PG 2024 exam city selection is experiencing problems due to the ongoing Microsoft outage that is occurring worldwide. The application will launch as soon as the problems are fixed at the end of the business day.

A few others questioned the test city allocation plan's lack of clarity and the list of NEET PG 2024 cities. The medical board requested that applicants choose four exam cities in which they would like to take the test. The window of opportunity to select the test towns of choice will close on July 21.

Students are using social media as a platform to vent their frustrations over the situation. "With this NBE-TCS, one simple login and choice of test City is not possible, and they plan on conducting 2 shift exams on the same day with normalization of scores," stated an X user in a post. The joke of the year, in fact!

New centres, random allotment

"What precisely was the need to select new centers?" a candidate inquired. along with two shifts? Just another day lost to page refreshes.

Reacting to the random allotment of cities from the preferred choices by NBEMS, a doctor wrote on X, “This is a serious issue. They are saying to put 4 choices for exam centres. And student will get alloted to random from 4 centres. How can a student travel too far for a centre , if he is having another centre nearby to his house? Pathetic.”

"Why did they allow us the chance to give options if they can't even ensure that we will receive one of the four exam centers that we have provided? The largest curse in our nation is being a medical student or doctor, another X user remarked.

How are we meant to fill out the choices if we can't access the website? Even when the website does function, it is impossible to log on. Another candidate feared, "They will send you anywhere in the country if we are unable to fill choices."

The portal appears to be inoperable. Not opening. Login is not permitted if it loads. What's the matter with you two? Another contestant questioned, "If you're not prepared, why do you stress out the candidates?"

August 11 is when the NEET PG exam for admission to postgraduate medical programs is planned for 2024. This will be the first exam that is administered in two shifts. The test is scheduled to take place in 185 cities, according to NBEMS.
