The Karnataka Common Entrance Test ( KCET ) 2024 is a state-level entrance exam for admission to various undergraduate courses in engineering, pharmacy, agriculture, and other fields offered by the government and private colleges in Karnataka. The exam will be conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) on April 20 and 21, 2024. The candidates who wish to appear for the KCET 2024 can fill the online application form on the official website or portal of the KEA from January 9, 2024 to February 15, 2024.

The KCET 2024 application form will require the candidates to provide their personal, academic, and contact details, upload the required documents, such as the photograph, signature, thumb impression, etc., pay the application fee, and choose the exam center and language medium. The application fee for the KCET 2024 is Rs. 500 for general and OBC candidates, Rs. 250 for SC, ST, and PwD candidates, and Rs. 750 for candidates from outside Karnataka. The candidates can pay the fee online through credit card, debit card, net banking, or offline through e-challan.

The KCET 2024 will consist of four papers: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology. The Physics and Chemistry papers will be held on April 20, 2024, from 10:30 am to 11:50 am and from 2:30 pm to 3:50 pm, respectively. The Mathematics and Biology papers will be held on April 21, 2024, from 10:30 am to 11:50 am and from 2:30 pm to 3:50 pm, respectively. Each paper will have 60 questions of multiple-choice type and the duration of each paper will be 80 minutes. The total marks for each paper will be 60 and there will be no negative marking.

The candidates who meet the eligibility criteria of the KCET 2024 can apply for the exam. The eligibility criteria include passing the 2nd PUC / class 12 or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as mandatory subjects with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved categories) in aggregate. The candidates must also be citizens of India and have studied in Karnataka for at least seven years.

The KEA will release the admit cards for the KCET 2024 in the first week of April 2024. The candidates will have to download the admit cards from the official website or portal of the KEA using their application number and date of birth. The admit cards will contain the details of the candidate and the exam, such as the name, roll number, date of birth, category, photo, signature, exam date, time, venue, instructions, etc. The candidates will have to carry the admit cards to the exam center along with a valid photo ID proof.

The KEA will declare the results of the KCET 2024 in the last week of May 2024. The candidates will be able to check their scores and ranks on the official website or portal of the KEA using their application number and date of birth. The KEA will also release the merit list and the cut-off marks for the KCET 2024 on the official website or portal. The candidates who qualify the KCET 2024 will be eligible for the counseling and admission process of the participating colleges.
