Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management (SJMSOM), established in 1995, is a part of IIT Bombay. SJMSOM offers a two-year flagship MBA program in management as well as Doctoral Programs in Management. The College has been ranked 11 for NIRF 2022 and 13 for its MBA by The Week 2020. The school also offers short-term programs in areas of management for the faculty of technical and management institutions during the Summer and winter seasons. 

SJMSOM accepts the scores of CAT /GMAT for its Masters's program in Management. TOEFL/IELTS tests are also given to prove English proficiency. For the Doctoral Program, the candidates are required to submit an SOP on the proposed area of research. The Shortlisted candidates will be called for a written test followed by an interview. The SJMSOM CAT Cutoff 2020 for its admission to the Management Courses was 98 percentile. 

SJMSOM has successfully completed its final placement process for its batch 2020-22 despite the challenges posed by the Covid-19 Pandemic. This year the school witnessed a wide range of opportunities with multiple recruiters offering roles in diverse sectors such as BFSI, Consulting, E-Commerce / IT, FMCG / Manufacturing, Healthcare etc. The average package 18.1% & stood at INR 25.9 LPA.  The median CTC stood at INR 25.8 LPA. The highest package also increased to INR 49 LPA.

SJMSOM Cut Off 2023 (Expected)

SJMSOM-IIT Bombay Cutoff 2021 has been liberalized for MBA admission 2021. Only the candidates above the minimum cut-offs in the CAT 2020 sectional percentile ranks, the overall percentile rank and obtaining a positive (greater than zero) raw score in all sections of CAT-2020 has been considered for all the subsequent stages. 

SJMSOM Placement

SJMSOM IIT Bombay Final Placements 2022 report has been released. The institute has achieved a 100% placement percentage. 43 recruiters participated in the placement drive. Some of the major recruiters included JP Morgan, Accenture Strategy, Amazon, Flipkart, P&G, Marico and many more. The major highlights of the 2022 placement drive are mentioned below:  

• The highest salary increased by nearly 50% & stood at INR 49 LPA.
• The average salary increased by 18% & stood at INR 25.93 LPA.
• The median salary increased by 17% & stood at INR 25.76 LPA.
• The highest CTC of female candidates stood at INR 32.8 LPA.
