SPJIMR Cut off is 85 percentile in CAT/GMAT to be eligible for MBA admission process. The sectional cut off for the same is 75 Percentile. Unlike previous years, XAT score is not accepted for MBA (PGPDM) admission process. For GMP admission at SPJIMR, candidates are required to have a minimum score in any one entrance exam. The GMAT Cut off for GMP is 550 marks, 300 marks in GRE and 80 percentile for CAT/XAT qualified candidates.

SPJIMR offers Institute-sponsored scholarships to FPM, GMP and PGDM students. The scholarship details are given in brief below:

Mirae Asset Foundation Scholarship: The basic objective of the MAF Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to the meritorious and needy participants of the first and second year of Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM). The student can avail upto Rs.5,00,000 per year per scholarship 

Eligibility/ Award Criteria

  • Th e participants should have a family income of less than INR 8 lakhs.
  • The participant who applies should not be availing any other scholarship. They can apply for Merit cum - Means Based Financial Assistance also. However, they will be considered for only one Financial Assistance/Scholarship.
  • A participant who is allotted the MAF Scholarship in the first year, need not get it again in the second year. They will have to apply and go through the process again.
  • For second year participants, only participants who have been promoted to the second year can apply.

Merit cum – Means Based Financial Assistance: The objective of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to meritorious participants with limited means. A panel will independently evaluate the application of each individual. The approval can be for either 50%, 75% or 100% reimbursement of the tuition component of the fees.

Merit Based Scholarship: Students who are selected for International Exchange and who fulfill certain criteria, will be eligible for a scholarship towards meeting expenses as exchange students in a partner B-School of international repute. The scholarship will be in the form of reimbursement for expenses related to return travel from India to the international B-School, visa and insurance fees and lodging during the course work. The scholarship amount will be based on actuals up to a limit of INR 2 lakhs, which will be disbursed after the Institute receives the grades from the partner schools.

  • Students that are ranked within the top 30 in the batch based on CGPA available at the end of the first year of the Program will be eligible for the Merit Based Scholarship.

Ques. Which is better: NMIMS or SPJIMR?

Ans. Students at NMIMS have to spend 6-8 weeks on a summer project of 100 marks between the 1st and the 2nd year while pursuing a full-time MBA. SP Jain Institute of Management & Research is the only B-school that has autumn internships as compared to summer internships. The students opt for internships after they choose their specialization.
