PES University (PESU) is situated in Bangalore, the Silicon Valley of India. PES University admission 2023 is currently ongoing. Registrations for the B.Tech program through PESSAT 2023 are open till May 10, 2023 (non-Bengaluru candidates). Bengaluru candidates can apply till May 20, 2023. CLAT 2023 registrations are open till November 13. Candidates interested to apply for the B.Arch program are required to upload their NATA and 12th std / 2nd PU scores online till July 2023. For admission to other courses, candidates can apply till July 2023. Further, PESSAT 2023 registrations for EMBA will begin in December. Candidates seeking admission to PES University can apply online on the official website of the university - pes.edu.

PES University (PESU), established in 1972, is situated in Bangalore, the Silicon Valley of India. The University was formerly known as the PES Institute of Technology, it was renamed in 2013 where it attained University status by the Government of Karnataka. It offers UG, PG and Doctoral courses in streams of Management, Science, Medicine, Architecture, Technology, and Law.

PESU is ranked 6th in Top 50 Private universities by OUTLOOK India- ICARE rankings. Also, it is one of the Top 20 Universities in Karnataka state by the same rankings. PES University is the second most preferred destination next to IIMB for B-School aspirants (Times of India)

PESU offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral degrees in fields of Engineering, Medical, Management, and Science. Admissions are offered through an entrance exam. Candidates applying for the Ph.D. courses need to go through the PESSAT Research Selection Process, and candidates are shortlisted for the interview rounds based on the results of PESSAT.

Application Procedure

• The exam fee is Rs. 1050/-.
• Payment of fees is to be made online through master/visa debit/credit cards and net banking.
• The demand draft has to be paid in favor of the “PES University General Fund” payable at Bangalore. PESSAT Exam

PESSAT Stands for PES (Peoples Education Society) Scholastic Aptitude Test. PESSAT Exam is conducted to offer admission to the students in the following programs such as: B.Tech, B.Arch, M.Tech, BBA, MBA, etc.

• Registration for the same open every year in the month of October.
• PESSAT is conducted for B.Tech in the month of April-May. 
• For programs other than for BTech, PES University, Bangalore is the only Test Centre.
• A Candidate can take PESSAT Exam only once in a year.
• There is no negative marking in PESSAT.

PESU Scholarship

• MRD Scholarships: 40% Tuition Waiver for Top 20%.
• Top 10% of students in 6 semesters will get a Travel grant. 
• Top 10% of students in 8 semesters will get International Internship.
• Prof. CNR Rao Scholarships: 50% Tuition waiver fee for top 50%.
• Distinction Award: If a student secures a CGPA of 7.5 and above for a particular year, then he/she would receive cash prize money as a distinction award.
• PES University offers free engineering education for a select number of students coming from rural background every year

• Library: Central Library, PES University was established in 1988 with a modest number of books and other documents. Ques. Can I surrender the seat allotted through PESSAT, if I am allotted seat through KCET?

Ans. Yes, you may surrender a seat allotted to you through PESSAT and opt for the seat allotted through CET. The extra money will be refunded or adjusted against the fee payable.

Ques. Which PES campus offers pre-university, diploma, pharmacy and degree courses?

Ans. PES University Hanumanth Nagar Campus.

Ques. Are the courses at PES University and PES University Electronic City Campus taught by the same Professors?

Ans. No. The courses at PES University and PESIT South campus are taught by different Professors. Both institutions ensure that all courses are handled by competent faculty.

Ques. Is it mandatory for a student opting for admission through Management/ NRI/ Higher fee quota for BTech program to take CET or PESSAT?

Ans. Yes. The student has to take Karnataka CET or PESSAT even if the student wants to opt for admission through Management/ NRI/ Higher fee quota.

Ques. I have completed my Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Can I join PES University?

Ans. If you are a diploma student from Karnataka and have cleared the Diploma CET conducted by Govt of Karnataka then you may be considered for admission to BTech at PES university. Non Karnataka candidates with a diploma are not eligible for admission to the BTech program at PES University as they are not eligible to take Diploma CET conducted by Govt. of Karnataka.
