KS Hegde Medical Academy (KSHEMA), Mangalore, Karnataka was established in 1999. It turned into a constituent school of NITTE University in 2009.

The university provides internship facilities for its students varying from a period of 6 months to 1 year. However, no separate placement drive is conducted by the university administration. Usually the students are employed for full time where they go for internships.
